El próximo sábado 20 de agosto arranca en Galicia una nueva edición de la Vuelta Ciclista a España, la quinta consecutiva para Caja Rural-Seguros RGA. La formación verde encara de esta forma su prueba más importante del año con un nueve de garantías, con el que espera tener presencia en el mayor número de etapas posible. Un conjunto marcado por la juventud, ya que apenas dos corredores superan la treintena.

It’s nearly time for the third and last Grand Tour of the season. On Saturday 20 August the 71st edition of the Vuelta a España begins with a team time trial. Sports directors Mario Aerts and Marc Wauters will lead Lotto Soudal to Madrid, where the race ends on Sunday 11 September.

The third Grand Tour of the season is fast approaching and Team Giant-Alpecin will head to this year’s Vuelta a España following successful campaigns at the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France, winning two stages each. The team returns to Spain after being close to the overall podium with Tom Dumoulin (NED) last year and after having won three stages. For this year Team Giant-Alpecin has once again the objective of stage success during three weeks of racing, which covers more than 3,000 km.
